New Spring Fitness Class Line-Up Starting Monday, May 7, 2018 – Spring into a new life of Fitness!

Our new and improved fitness class line-up starts on Monday, May 7, 2018!  It’s bigger and bolder than ever before with an unprecedented 52 classes for you to enjoy! Highlights of our brand new line-up include:

Cycle-Fit Freedom: Our new early morning drop-in indoor cycling class on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Outdoor Drills Skills and Boot Camp: We’ve added 2 outdoor athletic training classes for our keenest members looking for a little extra in their training regime. Classes are Mondays at 9:10 a.m. and Fridays at 8:10 a.m., rain or shine!

Mid-Morning Aqua-Fit: We’ve added 2 additional aqua-fit classes, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10:10 a.m.

Ballet Fit and CoreBT + Barre: Our ballet specialist will be offering drop-in versions of our successfull ballet program on Mondays at 10:10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.

All of these classes plus all of your favourites are available to current summer enrolled students, students with summer memberships and current community / senior / staff / facutly and joint plan members.

Printed copies are available on site and online (see the link below). We look forward to seeing you in class!

Hart House Runners

Join the Runners’ group every Friday at 1 pm on our indoor track. The group has been meeting since 1974. All are welcome, from students to faculty, and all levels are accommodated.

Schedule Changes

Facility News

Normal operations today. All facilities and salles are open!

Summer Building Hours Begin Monday, June 4, 2018.
Please note the following facility hours for the summer months:

Fitness Centre (Summer Fitness Centre Hours: June 4, 2018 to September 3, 2018)

Monday–Friday: 7 am–10:30 pm
Saturday–Sunday: 8 am–9 pm

Lockers & Shower Area

Monday–Friday: 7 am–11 pm
Saturday–Sunday: 8 am–9:30 pm
Towel service ends 15 mins prior to showers closing.

North Entrance And North Pathway Accessibility Upgrade: Temporary Closure.
Beginning May 22, 2018, the Hart House Facility Dept., in conjunction with U of T Grounds, will start work on phase 3 of the North Path Revitalization project. During this penultimate phase of the pathway restoration, we will be undertaking many necessary AODA and facility maintenance upgrades. The scope of work will capture but is not limited to a re-grading of the largest section of the path (located between the east and west towers) to divert water away from the building, paving the length of the path to provide an even surface for those visitors with accessibility needs, replacing the temporary accessible ramp with a permanent structure, and relocating the currently ineffective drainage culvert to upgrade water collection along the pathway.

These AODA and facility maintenance upgrades will take roughly 6-8 weeks. We hope that the work is completed by July 13, 2018. During the initial stage of this project, likely the first week or two, we can expect (particularly for those using the Fitness Centre) significant noise levels as the contractors will be scraping away the existing asphalt surface before making changes to the path’s grade. For the duration of the project the path will not be accessible to anyone, all visitors to Hart House will be required to access the building from other access points.

The Tower Rd Entrance (accessible) is now open: Did you know that the Queen’s Park East Entrance (Founder’s Walk) is now accessible?  We have provided a ramp along with power assist doors for your convenience.  Please note that the north walkway is fully accessible providing clear access to Tower Rd. from Queen’s Park.
