Documentary Story Telling with Adobe Premier Pro - 4254

Description: This is the ideal curriculum for a hands-on exploration of intermediate/advanced documentary editing techniques with Premiere Pro CS6. Students will be given real world examples to practice techniques of cutting interviews, B-roll and more. We will also look at advanced metadata options, organizing our media content analysis specifically and story telling guides available in Premiere Pro.

This class is a hands-on 'lab-style' class but students are expected to bring their own laptop computers each day with Adobe Premiere installed and running. A free download of the Premiere Pro CS6 is available here: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/. The program is available for both Windows and Macintosh. It is highly recommended that students read the system requirements to run Premiere Pro on their computer prior to installation.

There may be a limited number of laptops available for students to rent at a cost of $20 but this is for in-class use only (the laptop cannot be taken home). The laptops will be available on a first-requested first-served basis. If you wish to rent a laptop you must email creativeclasses@harthouse.ca PRIOR to registering to see if one is available. Instructor: Nick Harauz Note: Deadline to withdraw from this class is 5:00 pm on March 15. A $15 withdrawal fee applies.
