Learn to Swim I For those with little or no experience in the water. A qualified instructor will lead you through a series of confidence building lessons resulting in more familiarity in the water environment and increase your stroke skill base. Front crawl (freestyle stroke), backstroke and breaststroke will be introduced and refined.
Tired of swimming by yourself? Training for a triathlon? Want to improve your stroke mechanics or your endurance? Masters Swim may be just what you are looking for! Fitness through swimming allows all levels of participants to improve their technique through regular coaching and structured training. You must be able to swim at least four lengths (100 yards) uninterrupted. This activity is available in 4-week or 8-week session.
Students should be able to swim at least two continuous lengths of the pool prior to enrolling in this course. A working knowledge of backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle is assumed. The butterfly stroke will be introduced. Emphasis will be placed on building swimming endurance and correcting or refining all strokes.
